The hotel offers excellent views of High Tor and is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the Sun and Compass pub, where we went rafting. The room was incredibly spacious with a unique circular bed and a large bath. Despite being small, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The service was top-notch with staff being polite and courteous. The location was perfect for our needs, allowing us to walk to Matlock and Matlock Bath easily. However, the dining experience, although nice and filling, seemed rushed at times. Overall, a great option for a stay in High Tor.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room, although clean and comfortable, was exceptionally small, making breakfast a bit of a challenge. The staff was pleasant and friendly but could have been more welcoming with a larger presence. On the bright side, the location was ideal for exploring nearby attractions, and the dining experience, although a bit pricey for what was offered, was delicious.
